Paperless Program Terms and Conditions

These Paperless Program Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) apply to companies operating under the Kemper Auto brand ("Kemper"). Please read these Terms in their entirety. By agreeing to these Terms, you consent to receive electronic notifications about all written communications in connection with your insurance transaction. This means you will no longer receive paper copies of any written communications. Written communications may include your insurance policy, any policy-related documents, billing statements, claim forms and communications, and insurance notices or disclosures. However, we retain the right to send paper copies at our discretion or as required by state law.

Electronic Communications

Kemper will let you know when a written communication was delivered and available for your review by sending notification to the email address you provide the company. You can access and review the written communication by logging into your Kemper Auto Customer Account on the Kemper Auto Customer Portal.

You agree to create a Kemper Auto Online Account to access your written communications. You further agree to provide and maintain a current email address with Kemper to receive notifications. It is your responsibility to maintain an active Kemper Auto Online Account and current email address with Kemper.

Paper Documents

You can request a paper copy of any written communication by calling 800-3-KEMPER (800-353-6737). However, where permitted, excessive requests for paper documents may result in your removal from Kemper’s paperless program.

Withdrawal of Consent to Receive Written Communications Electronically

If you no longer wish to participate in Kemper’s paperless program, you may withdraw your consent at any time. You can do this by visiting the Kemper Auto Customer Portal and navigating to Manage My Account > Communications Preferences > Paperless Preferences. It may take up to 30 business days to process your request

If an email is returned to Kemper as undeliverable, or your email address otherwise becomes invalid, Kemper may treat that as a withdrawal of your consent. Should this occur, you will be removed from Kemper’s paperless program and no longer receive electronic communications. Written communications will then be provided in paper form by mailing them to the physical mailing address associated with your policy.

Update Your Account Information and/or Paperless Settings

To update your e-mail address or other contact information with Kemper, please visit the Kemper Auto Customer Portal and navigate to Manage My Account, or call  800-3-KEMPER (800-353-6737). You can also manage your paperless settings in the Kemper Auto Customer Portal by navigating to Manage My Account > Communications Preferences > Paperless Preferences.

Hardware and Software Requirements

To participate in Kemper's Paperless program, you must:

  • Provide and maintain a valid, working email address
  • Access Kemper’s Customer Portal through an internet enabled device using a modern and updated web browser
  • Download and install any necessary software for reading PDF format files

Our Rights

Kemper reserves the right to modify these Paperless Program Terms and Conditions at any time. Notice will be provided to you either by email or through the Kemper Auto Customer Portal. Your continued use of the paperless program after notice of changes will constitute your acceptance of those changes.

By agreeing to these Paperless Program Terms and Conditions you acknowledge that you have read them in their entirety, understood them, and consent to receive written communications electronically in accordance with the terms and conditions set forth above.
